Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Elevation Landscaping Sacramento ("Elevation," "we," "us") collects through elevationlandscapingca.com and when you call, text or email us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We serve homeowners in the Sacramento area and follow California privacy law, including the California Online Privacy Protection Act.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Estimate requests: your name, phone number, email address, city, the type of project and any details you type in.
Calls, texts and emails: your phone number, the content of messages you send, and any photos of your property you share with us.
Project details: your property address, measurements, notes and photos taken during a site visit, and your project and payment records if you hire us.

Information collected automatically

Server logs: our web host records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
Fonts: the site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
Call tracking: if you call a tracking number shown on this site, our call-tracking provider records the date, time, length and source of the call, and calls may be recorded for quality and training. When recording is on, you will hear a notice at the start of the call.

This site does not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party ad trackers on it.

How we use your information

To respond to your request, schedule a site visit and prepare a written estimate.
To plan, schedule and complete your project, and to handle billing and warranty questions.
To follow up about your project, including asking for a review after the job is done.
To show completed work on this site. We remove house numbers and other details that could identify your home, and we will take down any photo of your property on request.
To keep the site secure, fix problems and meet legal requirements.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as needed to serve you:

The licensed contractor assigned to your project, so they can visit, quote and complete the work.
Service providers who work on our behalf, such as our web host, our form-delivery service (FormSubmit), our email provider and our phone and call-tracking provider. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
If the business is sold or transferred, customer records may be transferred to the new owner, who must honor this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests that do not become projects for up to two years. We keep project and payment records for as long as needed for warranty, tax and legal purposes, usually up to seven years. After that we delete them.

Your California privacy rights

California residents can ask us to:

tell you what personal information we have about you, where it came from and who we shared it with;
delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law;
correct inaccurate information; and
stop contacting you by phone, text or email.

We will confirm your identity, usually by contacting you at the phone number or email we have on file, and respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. You may reply STOP to any text from us to opt out of texts.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because this site does not track visitors across other websites, there is nothing for that signal to switch off, and the site works the same either way. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request not to sell or share personal information, which we already do not do.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on their property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and we limit access to customer information to the people who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or other sensitive financial details by text or email.

Links to sites such as Google reviews are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
