Artificial turf and sod.
Turf finishes a hardscape project. Done right, it drains, stays flat and has crisp edges where it meets the patio and beds.

What we do differently
Base prep that drains
Old grass and soil removed, then a compacted, graded base so turf drains through and does not dip or ripple.
Pet-friendly options
Infill and turf styles chosen for dogs, kids or a putting green look.
Clean edges
Bender board, steel or concrete edging where turf meets patios, paths and planting beds.
Real sod too
Fresh sod on amended, graded soil with irrigation checked or adjusted before it goes down.
Common questions
Artificial turf or real grass?
Turf saves water and mowing and stays green all summer. Real sod is cooler underfoot and costs less up front. Many yards use turf in high-traffic areas and real planting elsewhere.
Does turf get hot in Sacramento?
Yes, in direct afternoon sun it gets hotter than real grass. Lighter infills, shade from a tree or pergola and a quick rinse all help.
How long does a turf install take?
Most backyards take a few days, including removing the old lawn and building the base.
