Landscaping Sacramento

Services

Everything a backyard is built on: patios, walls, concrete, shade, turf and drainage, done right from the base up.

3D landscape design

For full backyard projects, we design the yard in 3D first. You see the patio, walls, fire feature and kitchen from every angle and change them on screen, where changes are free, instead of in concrete.

Paver patios

Most patio problems start under the pavers. Sacramento clay swells in winter and shrinks in summer, and a thin base lets that movement show up as dips, rocking stones and open joints.

Retaining walls

Walls fail from water more than weight. Every wall we build gets drain rock and a perforated pipe behind it so winter rain has somewhere to go besides pushing on the blocks.

Concrete & driveways

All concrete cracks eventually. The difference between a good slab and a bad one is base prep, reinforcement and control joints placed so the cracks stay straight and hidden.

Walkways & steps

The narrow dirt strip beside the house and the cracked path to the front door are usually the most-used ground on a property. They are also some of the quickest projects to get right.

Outdoor kitchens & fire features

The patio is the floor. A kitchen, a fire feature and good lighting are what make people actually use it once the Sacramento heat breaks in the evening.

Pergolas & patio covers

In a Sacramento summer, shade decides whether a patio gets used. A pergola or cover turns a hot slab into the best room of the house.

Artificial turf & sod

Turf finishes a hardscape project. Done right, it drains, stays flat and has crisp edges where it meets the patio and beds.

Drainage & grading

Standing water in winter and a soggy side yard are clay soil telling you where the water wants to go. Grading and drains give it a better route, away from your foundation.
